Francis Procopio attended his first meeting as a “member” this morning.  His company, Michelangelo of Home Repair, offers handyman services in everything from routine maintenance to installations.

Our speaker was Michael Poltorak, of Poltorak Insurance Services.  He shared valuable information on Long Term Care insurance, and we shared in a lively discussion on living trusts and estate taxes.

Our meeting next week is a social on Thursday evening February 9th.  We will attend a dinner theater at Patrick Henry High School, in the Del Cerro area.

Francis Procopio, of Michelangelo of Home Repair, joined us again this morning and we will vote on his application for membership this week.  He has wonderful energy and a great personality.

Doc Chin, website www.smilehq.com, suggested we text each other throughout the week with snippets about what’s happening in our business.  Great idea doc!  Just be sure you keep those phones on silent so you don’t interrupt a meeting.

We approved a social evening on February 9th for dinner and a show at Patrick Henry High School.  We are attending Movie Magic, a program presented by the Bel Canto choir.  They are off to Carnegie Hall in March and the funds will helps finance their trip.  Tickets will be  available at the meeting next week.  Let us know if you are bringing  a spouse, significant other, or friend so we have the correct number of tickets.

Oonagh Morley, of Lose Belly Fat,  provided some great information on setting goals and healthy eating habits.

Last but not least, hats off to Helen our amazing server at Spice House.  She welcomes us with a smile and lots of charm.  We are lucky indeed.

Wonderful way to start the year.

Great ideas this week about sharing information with each other using texts and tweets.  This is a wonderful way to stay on top of  what is happening with other members of the group and provides yet another opportunity to share that information with our network of friends, family, and business partners.

Nancy Biberacher of First California Funding spoke at our Meeting February 16th meeting. Nancy spoke about the best way to qualify for a loan, along with the ever changing mortgage interest rates. I’ve worked with Nancy over the last 12 yrs with clients and personally and I wouldn’t go anyone else. Juli Knight, SD Homes, Realtor.

We had a successful Visitors Day meeting and always welcome visitors to our meetings. W had 4 invited guests that attended our last meeting. Looking forward to another meeting this week.

Great meeting this week.  Doctor Chin used his IPad to show us a great video on a new product he is offering in his dental practice.  Snap on Smile is an alternative to costly veneers, implants or braces.  The process is a quick  2 visits, and the results are amazing.  We all were very impressed.  Doc Chin always seems to be on the cutting edge of the dental industry and Snap on Smile is no exception. 

Guest day is February 16th.  We look forward to learning about your business that day and meeting some new folks.

This week our speaker was Cheryl Slavik with Computer Learning Services.  Cheryl can offer so much information regarding Microsoft software; increasing effiiciency and teaching us how to use new tools. It’s always a pleasure when she speaks to our group. 

We had a lively discussion on how to be persistent in the pursuit of new clients; keeping the focus on what you can do to help them.
